    Idle Motion & Power Up : How to set PTZs to return to preset/tour after being moved manually or restarted

    Set desired preset or tour, then set "Idle Motion" and "PowerUp" using the web interface

    In the video above at the 18:48 mark, Jeff explains the functions of Idle Motion and Power Up and how to configure them.

    Idle Motion

    Navigate to PTZ Function > Idle Motion

    1. Enable Idle Motion by ticking the box next to Enable.
    2. Select one of the Idle Motion options: Preset, Tour, Scan or Pattern.
    3. In the Number drop down menu, select the number that corresponds to the Idle Motion option you want to use. i.e If you want to use Preset 3, select 3.
    4. Set the Idle time. This is how long the camera will wait before starting the Idle Motion option selected.
    5. Press Save.

    Power Up

    Navigate to PTZ > Function > Power Up


    1. Ensure PowerUp is enabled.
    2. Select one of the PowerUp options: Preset, Tour, Scan, Pattern or Auto.
    3. In the Number drop down menu, select the number that corresponds to the PowerUp option you want to use. i.e If you want to use Preset 3, select 3.
    4. Press Save.
