    How to fix "Config Error 20"

    On some model recorders, an error can be seen on screen "Config Error 20".

    This usually occurs with older model recorders, when adding a new camera.

    In order to rectify this issue, the camera must be initialized with a password see the guide here.

    After the camera has been initialized, the security mode needs to be changed.

    1. Log into the camera using a web browser.

    2. Select "Setting", "System" then "Safety".

    3. Set "Private Protocol Authentication" to "Compatible Mode". Select "Save".

    4. Your camera should now be displayed on the recorder.
