    Standalone IPC and Recorder - Setting the Time and Date

    How to configure Standalone IPC settings through the web interface

    To access the web interface enter the IP address of the Camera in a web browser.
    If you are connecting remotely, you can use the Link to Web function within Smart PSS.

    How to Set Time and Date on a camera

    Click Setting
    Then click System > General and click on the Date & Time Tab

     

    Settings Overview

    DST: Daylight Savings Time. 
    This must be set to enable day light savings time for your location.

    DST Start: 1st Sunday April 3:00AM
    DST End: 1st Sunday October 2:00AM
     

    NTP: For network time protocol, can use an internet server to keep device time synchronised 24/7.


    How to Set Time and Date on an NVR

    Navigate to Main Menu 

    Click Setting then click System


     Click on the Date & Time Tab


    Delete

    Daylight Savings (DST)

    If your state or country does not do daylight savings this setting does not need to be enabled.

    Daylight Savings in Australia's states: New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory.

    DST Start: 1st Week - Sunday - October - 2:00AM
    DST End: 1st Week - Sunday - April - 3:00AM
     

    NTP: The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used by computers and devices to synchronise their clocks over the Internet.

    Server: au.pool.ntp.org :This address is one of Australia's common public NTP servers which you can use) 

    There is other public NTP addresses that can be used or you can even have your own private NTP server.

    Port: 123 : NTP servers need this port to communicate to the device.

    Interval: Time between checks if the clock is up to date.
