Reboot Code Code Description Troubleshooting Steps
    0x00

Normal boot: Occurs when the system reboots during auto-maintenance or via the shutdown option in the Main Menu

Check in Maintain>Manager>Maintenance to enable/disable auto reboot.
0x01 Abnormal boot: Due to power loss, system crash, or other undefined abnormality.

Can be difficult to diagnose. We recommend updating the firmware to the most Recent version, hard resetting the recorder, and ensuring the recorder is receiving consistent power.

0x02 Log stuck: Due to an issue writing to the system log. Clear the log. Go to Maintenance>Log and down the bottom right, click Clear.
0x03 Hard drive read-write slow: hard drive read-write speed has dropped significantly; hard drive capacity has seriously decreased.
Check in Storage>Disk Manager and look at the Health Status. If it is not "Normal", it is likely that there is a hard drive error and it needs to be replaced.
0x04 Abnormal recording: Over 3 minutes with no stream on the recording channel.

Check all camera connections, ensure they are powered and sending data through.

0x05 Bad track: The hard drive has a bad track/sector that is impacting recording.
Check in Storage>Disk Manager and look at the Health Status. If it is not "Normal", it is likely that there is a hard drive error and it needs to be replaced.
    0x06

Decoding abnormal: the decoding setting for the cameras is set incorrectly.

Check in Camera>Encode to confirm that the encoding is set correctly according to the system's datasheet. Can also be caused by a faulty camera.

0x06a Video storage abnormal: There was a problem saving video data to the hard drive.
Check in Storage>Disk Manager and look at the Health Status. If it is not "Normal", it is likely that there is a hard drive error and it needs to be replaced. Can also check Drive with S.M.A.R.T. and update firmware.
0x06F Illegal access to memorySecurity feature reboot for backend failed access or resource exhaustion. Too many devices connected at once or an illegal memory access. Change login credentials under System>Account>Modify to limit device access.
0x07 Abnormal reboot: caused by the configuration partition being damaged.  Factory default the system either via Maintenance>Manager>Default>Factory Defaults or through the reset button on the motherboard.
0x11 Hard disk hot-swap overtime: the hard drive potentially has connection issues or has timed out.
Power down the system and make sure the hard drive connections are properly seated. You may need to replace the drive.
