Arming/Disarming the WGAP864 Alarm Panel with a Keyswitch

    July 4th, 2022

In some cases you may wish to arm/disarm your alarm with by a means other then the keypad, app, or remote control.

Keep in mind this is not a secure way of arming and disarming the panel, as if the switch or other arming device is removed from the wall and the 2 wires are shorted together, the alarm will arm/disarm.

If using a key-switch, only a spring-loaded momentary key-switch. If you are using a remote receiver or access control device, ensure it can be wired as a non latching normally open contact.

A 3k3 resistor will need to be installed between the zone and ground. Any zone can be used for Arming/Disarming. The zone type must be set as zone type 5.

In some situations you may want an audible indication that the system has been armed/disarmed. To do this, follow the steps below to enable the siren toot.

Siren Toot on Arm & Disarm

This option allows the user an audible confirmation that arming or disarming of the panel has occurred. The siren is programmed to give a short beep after successful arming, and two short beeps after disarming. This is useful when used in conjunction with remote or key-switch arming/disarming.
