Integrate the Wireless Zone of WGAP864EXP1664 with WGAP864WRX16.

    June 30th, 2023

    Part Products:
    * WGAP864EXP1664 = 8-Zone Expander for 16+ Zones Expansion
    * WGAP864WRX16 = 16 Channel Wireless Receiver for WGAP864P

To integrate a hardwired zone to a wireless zone, please follow these steps:

    Important Note:

    • Make sure that the zone you want to use as a wireless zone is enabled as a Zone Type Property and its Partition.
    • The wireless addresses are organised into blocks of 16, which means that each block represents a range of 16 addresses as the manual guide (ex: Zone 16 & 17 can not be in the same receiver).

To set the locations inquiry, please enter [#] [installer code] [*]

    Type Zones Properties:

    • Location [01] = Zone Type from 01 – 08 (Sub1 = Z1 Data 1 = Primary Entry/Exit Zone

And Configurate Zones in their Partitions (P1 – P8)

    Location 201 = Partition 1

    • Location [201] = Partition 1 Zones 1 [Y]
    • Use [>>] to select Zone number.
    • press [*] for each zone to confirm that you want to assign them to Partition 1

[#] [#] = To confirm all the settings.

    Wireless Receiver (WGAP864WRX16).

    • Connect the WGAP864WRX16V2 to the Keypad connector.
    • The dipswitch must be switched on to organize the wireless addresses into blocks of 16.
    • [STATUS] LED should remain steadily ON, indicating a proper connection to the WGAP864 alarm panel.
    • [MODE] LED will flash alternately approximately 7 times and then pause for two seconds, indicating Tamper to GND. It will remain steadily ON when the case is closed, indicating that the Tamper is Opened.
Note: Wireless zones take precedent over wired zones. If you learn a detector onto a Z32 and Z33 with a wired
detector, the wired detector will be ignored.

Procedure on how to learn a wireless detector to the WGAP864WRX16.
Prepare the Wireless Reed/Wireless PIR Sensor (WGAP864WDCV2/WGAP864WPIRV2) for operation by
providing power, and then proceed with the next steps.

    • Location [260] [*] = Location Wireless Menu/Add Device
    • [*] = Enter Zone Name/Zone Number
    • [*] = SN: --------- (enter SN of the detector is not required – skip this step).
    • Zone Number/Partition – Zone No (ensure to check & verify the Zone No (Partition - Zone No for accuracy).
    • [*] = Tamper or enter
NS: 8-digits = will be shown its Serial Number

One beep will be heard to confirm the successful learning of the wireless detector into the receiver, and the
serial number of the detector will be displayed on the screen. If you want to learn another wireless detector,
    proceed with the following steps:

    • Press [*] = Enter Zone Name/Zone Number

    Finally

    • [#] [#] = To confirm all the settings.

To verify if the detector is communicating with the receiver and the alarm panel, you can activate the magnet of the reed (WGAP864WDCV2) or move in front of the PIR sensor (WGAP864WPIRV2). Each time the detector transmits a signal, the [RF RX] LED will briefly turn ON and then OFF. This will indicate successful transmission.
Additionally, the activated zone will be displayed on the screen of the keypad.

If you are unable to learn any wireless detectors with the wireless receiver, please refer to the instruction manual for the procedure on resetting the wireless receiver to its default settings.

Information on how a wireless receiver operates.

    • [STATUS]: Yellow LED is steady on = receiver connected to WGAP864 alarm panel when powered on.
    • [RF RX]: LED indicates when the receiver received a message from a learnt detector.
    • [MODE]: Green LED indicates current operating errors and should be steady on when tamper is closed.

    Pulse error number:

    1. Wireless receiver not responding
    2. No activity on the WGAP864 serial bus
    3. No WGAP864 messages detected
    4. No messages for this peripheral detected from WGAP864
    5. Not used
    6. Expander not yet registered on the WGAP864
    7. Expander tamper violated
    8. Unsupported DIP address configured

    Reset to default procedure.

    1. Disconnect power on the receiver.
    2. Set all dipswitches to the on position.
    3. Reconnect power to the receiver.
    4. Wait about 10 seconds after the receiver has powered up.
    5. Disconnect power on the receiver.
    6. And power down the alarm control panel.
    7. Set the dipswitch to the desired address then,
    8. Reconnect power to the receiver and power up panel alarm.
    9. Wait until the [STATUS] LED remains solid for approximately 60 second.

The wireless receiver has now been reset to the default settings and can integrate the desired address.
