    How to resolve issues live-viewing cameras on DMSS when using 4G with a Telstra SIM

    Step 1 - Backup the Devices on your App

    Tap on
    Tap on
    Tap the devices you wish to export to select them, then tap Create Device Card.
    Click Cancel.
    Tap Save to save the QR to your phone's gallery.

    Step 2 - Uninstall DMSS

    Step 3 - Install DMSS

    Install the DMSS app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store

    Step 4 - Import your Devices

    Tap on
    Tap SN/Scan
    Tap on
    Tap on the QR code image to select it.
    Your devices should now be imported.




    If this hasn't resolved your issue please perform the following steps:

    1. Try the SIM Card in a different phone 
    2. Try a SIM Card from a different provider (Vodafone, Optus, etc)

    If the above steps work for you, please send a screenshot of your About phone page (See example image to the left) of your phone to support@cornick.com.au with the subject Telstra DMSS Issue Screenshot.

    Use the below workaround as a temporary fix. This will prevent Live View form working on a WiFi connection, but it will work on 4G.

    DMSS "DNS" Workaround

    On some Android phones that are experiencing issues live viewing or playing back footage, follow the steps below to manually set a DNS address to the phone.

    These phones that are experiencing issues are due to certain network providers

    1. Open "Settings".

    2. Select "Connections"

    3. Select "More Connection Settings".

    4. Select "Private Settings".

    5. In the "Private DNS prover hostname" field, enter "dns.google", then select "Save".
