Setting up a recorder for port forwarding

    May 6th, 2022

In some cases, such as a commercial network, you may wish to setup port forwarding of the recorder rather then using the P2P service. It is recommended that an IT professional does the configuration.

In order to do this, the recorder must have a static IP address, and the below ports open. These ports can be changed to suit your network, keeping in mind changing the HTTP port will change the port you need to use when accessing the recorder's web interface. It is recommended to change the HTTP port to something other then 80. If you do not wish to access the web interface remotely, it is not necessary to forward the HTTP port.

If you do not have a static external IP address, then a DDNS service will be required, e.g. https://www.noip.com/
